Christians Can Krump!
“Krumpin 4 Christ” is a high-energy, extreme-power, spiritually targeted Holy Ghost dance team. Our purpose is to make the presence, power, and anointing of Jesus Christ known so that all who desire Him can experience His freedom.
This evangelistic, urban dance-and-motivation team is designed to perform spiritual guerrilla warfare for the glory of God.
Guerrillas: A small, highly trained offensive and defensive force capable of making surprise raids to inflict devastating damage upon enemy forces and strongholds.
Krumping: A different style of dance called krumping originally began between 1992 and 1993 in South Central Los Angeles as a way for teens to express their raw anger against society’s ills. Frustrated that their communities were riddled with drugs, gangs, shootings, and chaos, teens began to form krump teams and clown teams as alternatives to belonging in gangs or participating in wrong activities.
This dance style encouraged members to use energetic movements to interpret and express their emotions about the music and their personal focus. All dancers expressed in their own styles their power against evil forces.
Along the way, almighty God—through the power of the Holy Spirit—placed a different meaning into the hearts and spirits of the originators of krumping. Through salvations and life transformations, God has begun to use this small, urban interpretative dance movement to draw young men and women to Jesus Christ, His Son. Through krumping, the Holy Spirit is now teaching, encouraging, and motivating youth to stand tall and firm against Satan’s lies, tricks, traps, and deceptions. The Lord is also drawing young people to become one with Him in power and Holy Ghost boldness.
Ministry Goals
In this new form of spiritual dance ministry at Victory Christian Fellowship, we always present Jesus Christ as our Supreme Commander and General. We recognize that we are frontline soldiers standing arm-in-arm with Christ to reach God’s people and those whom Satan’s forces have bound. “Krumpin 4 Christ” demonstrates and teaches individuals how to be free and firmly resist all enticements of the world, the flesh, and the devil. We present the indwelling Holy Spirit to those who choose to resist our enemy—and God’s enemy—by walking in the Lord’s power, commitment, and praise.
